Divorced/Separated Support Group
If you are going through a separation or divorce it can be the single most difficult season in your life. We have been there. We know the pain, the anger, the numbness, the loneliness, and the grieving that are almost always inevitable at this time. We at Grace want to walk with you and support you through this difficult time.
Once a year, Grace Church offers an 8 week support group for Divorced and Separated persons.
Update - New Session Starting October 2010
The next session of the group begins WednesdayOctober 3rd and will run for 8 consecutive Wednesday evenings, concluding Wednesday December 1st. Each evening consists of discussion and sharing and loosely follows the outline of the book “Rebuilding – when your relationship ends” by Bruce Fisher and Robert Alberti, published by Impact Publishers Inc, Atascadero, California.
This book is an excellent resource tool. It has been used by the rector in other groups and has been highly praised by group members. The course does not have a Christian focus, although, in the past, matters of faith have come up some evenings.
Even when the group is not in session the book can be ordered through Grace Church at a cost of $25.00. Other than the cost of the book, there is no other cost to this support group. The group is an affordable alternative to public health groups that can cost $75 - $100 for a series of speakers and discussion.
Even if you miss some of the sessions we believe you will still find the group very rewarding.
